Comes months after Atturra signed a deal for the new system in April. Credit: Alexis Hill (Brisbane Grammar School) IT solutions provider Atturra has developed and delivered the first module of a new student information system (SIS) for Brisbane Grammar School. Built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform applications, the first module, named People and Profile, is foundational to the system and is designed to streamline administrative processes and unlock learning and service delivery capabilities. The overall SIS solution will replace the school’s legacy on-premise system that housed 42 applications, with Atturra signing a multi-year deal for the upgrade back in April this year. It provides features such as a database for managing people and their relationships, comprehensive support for registrations, legal arrangements, medical needs, health records, counselling, well-being, support plans, efficient attendance management, enrolment capabilities and school staffing functions. The platform offers a range of out-of-the-box capabilities, integration capabilities via APIs and message queues, with native integration and low and no-code platforms. When complete, the system will include support for a range of functions such as of workflow processes and approvals for everyday school processes, including personalised learning, school reports, excursions, communications, resource and incident management and financial billing and reporting. Alexis Hill, Brisbane Grammar School CIO, said Atturra is on track with its delivery of its SIS. “It is a key anchor for our growth and digital innovation,” she said. “Atturra is a valuable partner and it’s great to see them meeting our set delivery timeframes for services and solutions that will underpin our SIS and digital ways of working for many years to come.” Related content news EDGE 2024 in photos: White Dinner sponsored by WatchGuard Technologies Attendees from A/NZ were treated to a three course meal as well as a fireworks show.
