Former head of HPE Aruba’s Australia and New Zealand operations heads into managed services land

Industry expert Pat Devlin has been appointed as the new general manager of managed service provider (MSP) blueAPACHE from 5 August.

The appointment follows Devlin’s departure from his position as senior director of South Pacific at HPE Aruba Networking in mid-June after five years in the role.

For blueAPACHE, Devlin’s appointment is integral to capitalising on its recent momentum of 85 per cent organic growth in annual recurring revenue over the past five years.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the global technology industry, Devlin has held critical leadership positions across Australia and New Zealand, particularly in the start-up space.

In his new role, he will oversee blueAPACHE’s operations in the local market and leverage his global leadership prowess to drive its ambitions for international growth.

Chris Marshall, founder and managing director at blueAPACHE said Devlin’s appointment aligns with its strategic vision of reinforcing its position as a leading MSP.

Devlin has the experience to adeptly manage through the challenges of a global pandemic and supply chain disruptions, maintaining growth and a cohesive team.

His people-centric approach emphasises relationships over transactions and focuses on advocating the best outcomes for his customers.

Devlin’s enthusiasm for technology is matched only by his dedication to fostering a workplace culture of health and fitness.

An avid ice hockey player and fan, Devlin has initiated wellness activities such as the “Running Meeting” – a unique blend of fitness and business discussions that takes place every Tuesday around Sydney Harbour. 

In March, blueAPACHE made a multi-million-dollar investment to enhance its own customer experience through integrating the ServiceNow platform for its managed services practice.
