Under the new agreement, Westcon-Comstor becomes the first and only distributor outside the US to privately list Check Point’s cybersecurity software solutions in the marketplace. Spanning Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC), the collaboration allows partners to benefit from accelerated transaction times, expanded deal sizes, higher win rates and shortened sales cycles. The announcement comes after Westcon-Comstor was named EMEA distributor of the year at Check Point’s CPX 2024 event in Vienna. Check Point is the latest vendor to be formally onboarded on to Westcon-Comstor’s AWS Marketplace programme, following the signing of the distributor’s designated seller of record (DSOR) agreement with AWS. The rise of cloud marketplaces, led by AWS Marketplace, was reshaping the technology procurement landscape in Australia and beyond and it was vital for Westcon-Comstor to enable partners to respond, said Phil Cameron, managing director, Australia, at Westcon-Comstor. “Our relationship with Check Point is a vital one for us and we’re thrilled to have them on board with our AWS Marketplace programme, adding a strategic new dimension to our long-standing, successful partnership.” The collaboration comes after Check Point and Westcon-Comstor signed a worldwide distribution agreement late last year for partners seeking to capitalise on rising managed security service provider (MSSP) demand. “At Westcon-Comstor we’re proud to be leading the way in distribution when it comes to empowering partners to respond to the rise of AWS Marketplace and capitalise on the growth opportunities this presents,” said Patrick Aronson, chief marketing officer and APAC executive vice president at Westcon-Comstor. “By enabling our partners to privately purchase and sell software products from the likes of Check Point, directly in AWS Marketplace, we are providing a powerful new route to revenue growth.” The deal extends the reach of Check Point’s Infinity Platform, including the Quantum, CloudGuard and Harmony solutions,” said Francisco Criado, VP of Check Point’s worldwide partner ecosystem. “This collaboration signifies our mutual dedication to simplifying cybersecurity access and management, ensuring that our channel partners are well-equipped to meet the dynamic security needs of their customers in the cloud era,” he said.
