Both companies are making moves to merge into one. Credit: CSO Group and xAmplify (Howard Fyffe) Fresh from their merger in June 2024, CSO Group and xAmplify have appointed Howard Fyffe as chief revenue officer to help integrate both organisations’ sales teams. The merger of CSO Group and xAmplify created one of the largest Australian-owned and operated integrators of artificial intelligence (AI), cyber security, technology, and business automation services. “The merger of CSO Group and xAmplify will create Australia’s largest home-grown cyber security, AI and automation consulting business, with a gross turnover exceeding $100 million annually,” CSO Group CEO and founder Michael Simkovic said. In his new role, Fyffe will be responsible for defining a unified national sales and go-to-market strategy as they bring a sophisticated suite of solutions to advance and protect government and corporate clients digitally. He will also report to CSO Group CEO and Founder Michael Simkovic and xAmplify CEO and Co-founder Wayne Gowland. Fyffe has decades of senior technology leadership experience. In 2021, he launched VAST Data in Australia, leading a team that recorded growth and customer adoption for VAST’s AI Data Platform. Before VAST Data, he was the A/NZ country manager for Veritas Technologies, where he helped large government and enterprise organisations protect their data and address the growing problems of dark data and cyber threats, including ransomware. He has also held the position of country manager A/NZ for Nutanix, where he drove double-digit growth and adoption of private cloud in the lead-up to Nutanix’s successful IPO. Once complete, the merged CSO Group and xAmplify business will deliver some of the most innovative and digitally advanced AI, automation and cyber solutions to over 110 clients, noted CSO. “The new entity will be headquartered in Sydney and have a significant national presence with operations across every state and territory, with a combined headcount of more than 160 staff,” it stated.
