Launches new stack saver bundles for MSPs

Unified MSP software vendor Invarosoft has acquired backup alert reporting vendor Alert Centric amid a relaunch of its brand with six software products sold via new ‘stack saver’ bundles.

The purchase of Alert Centric coincides with Invarosoft’s re-launch of six products featuring Warranty Wizard, Time Master, HappySat, vCIO Hero and Invarosoft CX.

Invarosoft CEO Jamie Warner said the products will be sold individually and within its innovative ‘stack saver’ bundles.

“We identified the MSP market is frustrated and worried with their increasing stack costs and with some of the SaaS monopolies taking shape in key categories, which has led to price increases and slower product improvements,” Warner said.

“Our research also indicates many vendors lock MSPs into long contracts, there are too many standalone products (point solutions) making it hard for MSPs to invest in them all and if the vendor is multi-product, they tend to sell each product separately, all of which increases MSPs stack costs.

“We’re trying to disrupt the market and the way we’re doing it is a bit different with our bundle offerings.”

In launching ‘stack saver’ Invarosoft is offering MSPs more alternatives and an opportunity to help reduce costs and complexity, “so in essence one account, one amount” Warner said.

“We agree with Jason Lemkin, SaaStr founder, who says ‘software is supposed to be a service. In 2022 and 2023, SaaS became software as a ripoff.’ We intend to reverse that trend for MSPs in 2024.”

Warner said it was also offering month-to-month licenses and billing in multiple currencies to further help international partners.

“The goal is to help MSPs around the world save at least 50 per cent of their stack costs across our product range compared to the standalone alternatives,” Warner said. “We will also invest heavily in software development to ensure each product is a true category leader.”

Invarosoft conducted its own research prior to launching its stack saver offering where 94 per cent of respondents indicated they were keen to consolidate a variety of tools into one bundle solution.

“They said it was too many portals, which added to the costs, management, admin and invoices that were frustrating to deal with and too complex,” he said.

“What we’ve done in terms of our go-to-market is create these stack saver bundles instead of just going up against vendors, one-on-one with each product, and listen to the market and deliver what they want, which is they want more for less.”

Invarosoft’s IT asset management platform, Warranty Wizard, competes directly against the incumbent monopoly of ScalePad’s Lifecycle Manager product.

“The MSP market deserves another option for warranty and asset reporting and so we’re delighted to launch Warranty Wizard to compete strongly in this category,” Warner said.

Alert Centric will complement Warranty Wizard, and Invarosoft made the strategic purchase to compete against ScalePad’s Backup Radar.

“Alert Centric has a lot of potential, so we’re looking forward to continuing their great work, evolving the product and competing strongly with the competitor products in this category,” Warner said.

Time Master is an MSP scheduling platform competing against another monopoly in the market, TimeZest.

“The success of TimeZest and the relevance of scheduling to our CX platform meant it was crucial for Invarosoft to offer the market an alternative in a unified platform,” Warner said.

“Preventing the ping pong match of MSPs trying to book meetings with users is a big productivity waste for teams, so we’re excited to offer our solution to the market.”

HappySat is Invarosoft’s CSAT and NPS solution for MSPs, which Warner said provides a number of solutions in the MSP feedback category.

Invarosoft sees the benefit coming from its unified approach along with its stack saver bundle purchase options.

vCIO Hero is a quarterly business review (QBR) that focuses on compliance and sales conversion.

“Most vCIO tools only focus on compliance reporting and use basic ‘budgeting’ to present findings,” Warner said.

“We believe presenting recommendations using the buying psychology of good, better, best is how you can get clients to make buying decisions faster. This enables MSPs to grow faster and solve issues relating to risk, security and business continuity. Solving client problems and growing your business should go hand in hand.”

The flagship Invarosoft CX platform for MSPs continues to grow strongly, Warner said.

“We will continue to invest in the platform around our client portal, live chat, identity security, push alerts, knowledgebase, service catalogs and O365 reporting functionality to enable MSPs to deliver a premium service experience to clients,” he said.

Existing Invarosoft MSPs will receive these new products included in their subscriptions as a thank you for their early adopter partnership and on-going support, Warner said.

“We will be releasing more new products in 2024 and 2025 and will be including them in existing bundles to further help MSPs reduce their software expenses and drive operational efficiency,” he said.

Invarosoft launched in late 2017 to help MSPs capitalise on the Customer Experience (CX) platform, which has evolved based on feedback and now features hundreds of MSP users.
