Local Microsoft partners nab regional success at Partner of the Year Awards

Australian partners emerge as winners across various categories.

Microsoft has recognised several Australian partners as regional winners across a number of categories at its 2024 Partner of the Year Awards.

The local partners were recognised for their “capabilities and competitive edge,” according to Vanessa Sorenson, chief partner officer at Microsoft Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Business solutions provider Fusion5 won in the Business Applications category. According to Microsoft, it transformed service operations with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, enhancing customer experiences through AI-powered tools like Copilot for its customers.

Quorum took the gong in the security category for its commitment to providing end-to-end security, while HCLTech scored the partner innovation award for its use of Microsoft technology to help clients achieve transformation goals.

Meanwhile, Wipro won the industry category award for delivering an data analytics solution for Water NSW. The IT consultant advanced Water NSW’s digital transformation efforts and reduced the time it takes to collate data.

KPMG Australia earned its win in the business transformation category for its work in generative AI, driving AI adoption and transformation with clients using its enterprise-grade AI agent KymChat.

In the social impact category, Barhead Solutions won for launching a Microsoft-based solution to help community legal centres provide more efficient services to 180,000 people and close a service gap.

Last but not least, Logicalis was handed the win in the Azure category for helping Western Sydney University leverage the cloud to improve operational efficiency and provide digital services for staff and students. 

In June it was announced that Arinco was awarded the Microsoft’s Partner of the Year accolade for Australia.

At the time, Chris Padgett, Arinco CEO, said this award highlighted its work with approximately 200 small, medium and corporate government and enterprise customers.

In the same month, Data#3 emerged as the Surface Reseller winner for the second consecutive year, having showcased its expertise in safeguarding digital assets and ensuring compliance in the modern workplace. The integrator helped to modernise a large power utility’s device fleet with Surface.
