Credit: James Hayes (Mantel Group) Technology and design consultancy Mantel Group has earned Elite status with Databricks following its work with numerous data and artificial intelligence (AI) projects. According to the consultancy, which has previously been awarded Regional System Integrator Partner of the Year for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), it was awarded the rank in recognition of its work with data and AI across financial services, entertainment and the public sector. To date, Mantel has undertaken more than 30 Databricks Data Intelligence Platform implementations at scale. Speaking to ARN, James Hayes, data partner at Mantel Group, said the rank was the “culmination of years of effort” and was accelerated by the acquisition of data and insights consultancy Aginic, which took place in August 2022. He also said that it required the business to build a 200+ strong data team, with the breadth of skills to support clients in all aspects of the data lifecycle. “You need hands-on technical expertise to help clients extract the best from the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to earn this status. This includes deep expertise in analytics and AI to deliver end-to-end use cases, not just proof of concepts,” he added. Meanwhile, Greg Taylor, VP of partners at Databricks, said the consultancy has been a “cornerstone” in the vendor’s expansion into the A/NZ region. “A resounding congratulations to Mantel Group for achieving the prestigious Elite partner status,” he said. “We are gearing up to strengthen our collaboration, pushing the boundaries to enable more customers to leverage the powerhouse capabilities of the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.” Mantel Group’s status as an Elite Databricks partner comes a month after it hired Michael McLoghlin as its Microsoft client engagement principal in an effort to grow its business with the vendor.
