Badenach replaces Carl Lowenborg, who was originally appointed to the position in July 2023. In the role, Badenach will lead Cevo’s sales team across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane, driving new customer growth in both professional services and Co-Ops, Cevo’s managed services arm. Badenach will also focus on continuing to build strong relationships with Cevo’s primary partner AWS and executing its its Nexus go-to-market strategy. He brings over 20 years of experience and deep industry knowledge in sales, business development and leadership within cloud professional services and modern managed services for global technology leaders and cloud-native scale-ups. Before joining Cevo, Badenach held senior roles at Microsoft, IBM and TasmaNet in addition to Versent. A Cevo spokesperson told ARN that it had interviewed a number of candidates but chose Badenach due to his “extensive experience leading the sales functions in professional services environments and strong customer-focused relationships across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane”. “I’m excited to be joining the highly talented team at Cevo as sales director,” stated Badenach. “My focus will be on executing Cevo’s go-to-market strategy and, together with our strategic partner AWS, guiding our customers across Australia toward achieving their digital transformation objectives.” Badenach’s appointment aligns with the multi-million-dollar strategic collaboration agreement with AWS announced in February 2024.
