The agreement between the two parties will initially see more than 30 partners able to access Confluent’s product and services offerings. Additionally, partners will be able to utilise Confluent’s and Nextgen’s technical expertise and product capabilities to provide customer support. In addition to Australia, the agreement is also planned to be expanded to New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore. Confluent senior VP Kamal Brar said the agreement will help the vendor rapidly expand its channel partner ecosystem, claiming it to be “a step that opens new opportunities for partners and new service offerings for their customers”. “Nextgen brings a wealth of expertise and an exceptional partner base — we look forward to working with them to accelerate Confluent’s growth in Australia and beyond,” he said. Meanwhile, Nextgen Group CEO John Walters said the partnership will boost its enterprise skillset. “Our partnership with Confluent builds on our focus, capability and expertise in enterprise software,” he added. Nextgen’s deal with Confluent comes more than a month after it was appointed by identity security specialist CyberArk as its first value-add distributor in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).
