P&N Group has tapped KPMG Australia to deliver cloud banking platform nCino to improve operational efficiency in its business banking division.

Consisting of P&N Bank in Western Australia and BCU Bank in NSW and Southeastern Queensland, P&N Group brought in the consultancy giant for the implementation, which took 13 weeks, with the implementation starting in September and finishing in December.

P&N chose nCino to “to enable the next stage of growth for its business banking business by further enhancing procedures, systems and workflows,” according to a statement from the banking group. The platform replaced a mix of software, manual and paper-based operations.

KPMG was chosen for the implementation due to its business-first approach to technology and its previous experience with nCino.

As a result of using nCino, P&N claimed it was able to improve its digital capabilities in the business banking credit origination process and optimise approval procedures through data analytics and insights.

“We sought a solution that could unite our processes and people, and we found that with nCino,” said Jacqueline Ryan, chief business banking officer at P&N Group. “Through our partnership, we’re excited to continue delivering an elevated banking experience to our customers across the three states in which we operate.”

Zameer Momin, national Salesforce partner at KPMG, said the consultancy’s primary focus was to deliver an “enhanced digital banking experience.

“We leveraged our local knowledge and platform expertise, combined with nCino’s innovative platform and P&N Group’s pragmatic leadership team, to implement at an accelerated pace and bring business value to bank users quickly.”

Last year, P&N Group brought in Fusion Apps and Ajeka to streamline the systems for its two banks with Informatica and Snowflake tech
