TechClick entered the market earlier this year to help IT providers with their Microsoft delivery capabilities and was founded by Regina Melamed to address market demand for specialised cloud skills. The business helps IT providers implement projects for their clients, ensuring a seamless transition and upskilling engineers to enable them to maintain the environment continuously. “We have been working together on similar services for a number of years with a proven ROI [return on investment] and track record for both Dicker Data and their partner community, so the launch of TechClick was a natural progression of our partnership,” Melamed said. As a result of the deal, partners will benefit from access to best practice deployment services and assessments as well as funded migrations and the ability to identify new opportunities and unlock new revenue streams through white-labelled capabilities. “It allows partners to focus on their core offerings, while we support them in delivering complex cloud services and migrations,” Melamed said. “We’re empowering the channel to drive innovation and delivery on customer outcomes. With the rate of change, SMB partners are struggling to resource, skill up and manage the volume of projects. This partnership allows Dicker Data partners to deliver on the needs of their customers while they build the inhouse capability.” Dicker Data general manager of Microsoft Cloud Australia Sarah Loiterton said the partnership with TechClick fills the ongoing data migration skills gap. “The demand for public and hybrid cloud solutions is still growing in both Australia and New Zealand, and our partnership with TechClick removes the skills barrier and the financial barrier to migrating to Azure with the support of Microsoft,” Loiterton said. “The partnership makes Microsoft Azure solutions, be it public or hybrid, more accessible to partners in Australia and New Zealand.” With Microsoft offering 100 per cent funding support for the migrations completed via TechClick and its technical experts taking on the data management and associated migration risks on behalf of a partner, the traditional barriers to cloud migration are removed, Loiterton said. “Having a safe pair of hands to assist with the migration and management of data is critical to the success of every cloud deployment,” she said. Loiterton also said it has completed several migrations with partners via TechClick already and the level of support the specialist offered was critical to the selection process. “The support TechClick has shown our partners and their end-customers is in line with the level of service the channel has come to expect from Dicker Data,” she said. “The partnership is enabling our teams to have conversations with partners that weren’t feasible previously.” Loiterton pointed out partners that have previously been solely focused on selected parts of the Microsoft portfolio, such as Microsoft 365 only, can now have a conversation with end-customers about moving to Azure with the support of the Dicker Data team and TechClick. “Our Microsoft team and the TechClick team are helping our partners to uncover new opportunities in their existing customer bases and we’re actively helping them to close deals through joint meetings, dedicated workshops on the impact of moving to cloud and more,” she said. Melamed said the two organisations recognised the challenge facing a large number of partners as they increasingly experienced heightened end-user demand. “They’re increasingly being asked by their end-customers to do more and with cloud migration being an area requiring high levels of specialisation and associated with higher levels of risk, it makes sense to have a trusted partner like TechClick to outsource these opportunities to, ensuring they’re done correctly the first time and that the partner and end-customer are supported throughout the entire journey,” she said. “Our services enable Dicker Data to focus on scaling its Microsoft cloud business with more partners while we manage the migration piece.” Melamed added the partnership was perfect fit for both organisations, helping Dicker Data move more partners to Azure and taking on the risk and migration projects – TechClick’s speciality, with Dicker Data generating an ever-growing list of leads to execute on. “We are 100 per cent channel focused and will never compete with a partner for their end-user,” Melamed said. “This model allows TechClick to scale up quickly in Australia and New Zealand and allows us to focus on our core business of Azure migrations, while Dicker Data provides us with new partners to help.” Related content news Motorola Solutions extends smart mobile application to WA Police Integrating critical operational information from multiple systems into a single interface.
