A seasoned figure in the channel, Tapsas comes into the role with more than 25 years of extensive experience in sales, business development, and leadership. According to the distributor, the appointment comes after an extensive search to identify the ideal candidate who embodies profound industry insight and aligns strongly with Synnex’s values, business approach, and its strategic goals. In his new role, Tapsas will spearhead Synnex’s commercial and channel sales team, driving the organisation’s sales initiatives and setting its strategic directions for engagement. “I’m incredibly thrilled to have the opportunity to lead a team that is deeply committed to its purpose and driven by strong values,” Tapsas said. “In the coming months, my focus will extend beyond sales outcomes to encompass a holistic approach to business development. “I aim to strategise innovative approaches, continue to nurture our people to their fullest potential, and elevate customer engagements.” Creating an environment of empowerment for the team was paramount to fuel collective success along with fostering partner collaboration through tailored channel programs and initiatives, which will be a cornerstone of its strategy, driving mutual growth and success, Tapsas said. “We will also embark on a journey of business transformation, embracing change and innovation to stay ahead in a dynamic market landscape,” he said. In the lead up to joining Synnex, Tapsas was the director of retail sales APJ territory at Intel, where he worked with Synnex in different capacities.
