The federal government’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) has signed a six-year contract with Kapish to migrate an on-premises solution to the cloud.

The contract will see the consultancy migrate the Department’s Opentext Content Manager solution up to Kapish’s Content Manager Cloud platform.

According to Kapish, DAFF was looking for a fully managed and supported departmental content manager system to remove the risk of any errors due to utilising unsupported software versions.

The consultancy also claimed that the Department is a long-term user of Content Manager (TRIM) and was looking to establish a long-term sustainable cloud platform to support records compliance into the future.

DAFF joins other large government users in utilising Kapish’s services, such as the CSIRO in April 2022 and the ACT government in July 2022.

Additionally, the Department purchased Kapish Content Manager Cloud through the Digital Transformation Agency’s (DTA) Cloud Marketplace, following in the footsteps of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, Australian Sports Commission, Austrade and the CSIRO.
