Deloitte Australia has started rolling out a generative AI (GenAI) platform for its 13,000-strong workforce to help with day to day tasks.

Named MyAssist, the platform provides users with access to different models and applications for tasks like information research, analysis and evaluation, data handling and code development and testing.

Users can also create GenAI-enabled apps that address specific business problems, helping them complete multiple related tasks.

According to Deloitte, the platform has been in development for over a year. A trial previously took place with 1,300 users.

“We have a diverse business but we also know there are common activities embeded across really diverse functions. We wanted to develop a platform that helped all of our teams, so we focussed on these common activities first,” said Deloitte Australia national GenAI lead Stu Scotis.

“This means we do not need to solve for each activity in isolation and instead we can scale solutions to provide quality outcomes for our clients and our people.”

Deloitte Australia AI institute lead Kellie Nuttall added the firm’s strategy is to be an “AI-fuelled organisation”, with over 5,000 employees undertaken GenAI training.

The usage of MyAssist is alongside other internally developed GenAI platforms at Deloitte, which includes SustainNext, which uses GenAI to simplify diagnosing and reviewing environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting against regulatory reporting standards.

The rollout of MyAssist comes months after Deloitte picked up 39 new employees from consultancy ATEO in March to boost its human capital and workforce management solutions offerings.
