Leading Edge Retail has shuffled its category management team around with three new appointments across its business.

Following a “refresh and restructure”, Cameron Harvey has been appointed into the new role of general manager of technology, which covers the categories of appliances, computers, electronics and smart choice tech repairs.

He previously spent a year as head of home appliances and audio visual and will now focus on driving engagement, revenue and membership growth.

His former position has now been taken over by Jessica Ashburner, who has been with the company since 2023.

“I’m incredibly excited and thankful to work alongside this great team of talented and collaborative heads of category,” Harvey said. “Together, we will re-shape the group both from a member and supplier perspective and take the group in new directions not previously executed – such as MSP and Leading Edge Commercial to assist with B2B [business-to-business] hardware solutions.”

Meanwhile, Leading Edge’s computers team is now led by Jerami Grassi under the title of head of computers. He takes over from Tegan Summers, who left the company last month. Grassi previously oversaw operations at managed service provider (MSP) and Leading Edge member Precise PCs.

“Leading Edge has been a part of my life for nearly five years,” said Grassi. “During this time, I’ve gained a key understanding of their role in supporting independent retailers across Australia. I am eager to leverage my diverse background – particularly in MSP and member experience — to strategically guide our group into new territory.”

Leading Edge added that Talin Danielian will continue as head of electronics and smart choice tech repairs.

The leadership shuffle comes months after former Leading Edge CEO Lee Scott stepped down in December, with then-COO Charlie Davey taking the reins as Scott’s successor.
