Cyber security specialist Sekuro has hired Scott Waters as a security advisor to the federal government, tapping into over 25 years of experience in cyber security roles.

In the brand new position for the specialist, Waters will focus on enhancing resilience within federal agencies, particularly in critical infrastructure.

According to Sekuro, Waters’ experience includes a wealth of cyber security experience within the context of the federal government, which includes his time in two federal government outsources ICT programs with Leidos and Hewlett-Packard.

In fact, Waters spent over seven and a half years at Leidos and over four years at Hewlett-Packard, with the bulk of this time spent as a security manager for HP Enterprise Security Services. Additionally, he has also worked at Verizon, Ascent and EY.

Waters’ appointment comes weeks after the specialist formed a partnership with Dragos at the start of May to bolster its industrial and critical cyber security offerings in the market.

According to Sekuro at the time of the announcement, the partnership will allow both new and existing customers to get the most out of Dragos’ platform by tapping into the specialist’s expertise and support as well as manage a converged dashboard for operational technology (OT) and IT infrastructure.
