Infront Systems, Datacom and Macquarie Cloud Services were all recognised as top local partners at the recent Dell Technologies World conference in Las Vegas.

Macquarie Cloud Services secured the Global Alliances Engagement Partner of the Year in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), recognising its commitment, collaboration and relationship management.

Macquarie Cloud Services’ group executive, James Mystakidis, highlighted the importance of technology, customer service and collaboration.

“Our purpose is to provide better outcomes for Australian businesses who have been underserved and overcharged,” Mystakidis said.

Among the many awards handed out to partners across the APJ region, Infront Systems was named Innovator of the Year while Datacom took home Excellence in Marketing.

Infront Systems managing director Allan King said Dell was its largest partner and during the past six to nine months, he said he has noticed a real boom in the market since Dell released its partner first strategy.

“We’ve seen a significant shift in engagement in particular from direct AEs (account executives) coming to us with opportunities but also providing us with market exposure, as Dell can be a force multiplier to the Infront brand and we’re very quickly addressing a partner-first outcome,” King said.

“It recognises the innovation that embodies Infront; we like to challenge the status quo.”

On Datacom’s win, director of product solutions group Ross Salisbury said it endorses its pragmatic approach beyond the traditional marketing pathway as it continues to build upon its Dell relationship.

“We really appreciate the way Dell works with us across the business to solve customer needs,” Salisbury said. “Together we’ve never shied away from exploring new and different ways of collaborating, which is not only fun, it makes it a true partnership in the realest sense.”

Other award winners across the APJ region included:

  • Partner of the Year: PCS Security (Singapore)
  • Distributor of the Year: Tech Data Advanced (India)
  • Excellence in Acquisition: Fujifilm Business Innovation Group (Japan)
  • Excellence in Expansion: Maymust (South Korea)
  • Excellence in Services: New Era Informatique (India)
  • Trailblazer Partner of the Year: AsiaPac Technology (Singapore)
  • Engagement Partner of the Year: VDA (India)
  • Rising Star: Biplan Global (Cambodia)

During the annual conference, Dell Technologies introduced its AI Factory packed with new technologies and services and is built on the core pillars of services, ecosystem and infrastructure.

The Dell AI Factory features a broad AI solutions portfolio from the “desktop to data centre to cloud” along with key technology partnerships that will help create artificial intelligence (AI) applications through a traditional purchase or as a Dell APEX subscription.

The Factory’s portfolio spans client devices, servers, storage, data protection and networking, bringing together AI capabilities, infrastructure services and partnerships to make repeatable and scalable AI deployments.
