Credit: Kylie Watson (DXC Technology) / DXC Technology DXC Technology has promoted Australia and New Zealand security lead Kylie Watson to oversee Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Based in Sydney, Watson will now be responsible for DXC’s customers across the APAC and MEA regions, helping them “enhance their cyber posture” through advisory and managed security services. Watson joined DXC as head of security for A/NZ in February this year. She previously spent a year as a partner at PwC Australia for cyber security and digital trust. A veteran of the Australian Army, Watson has spent the past two decades in a variety of IT roles in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand, holding leadership positions at the likes of SAP, Deloitte, HP and IBM. “I am very excited to be joining a team with the right focus that boasts experience across multiple industries and geographies,” Watson said. “I feel confident in our ability to deliver expert services and threat intelligence to our customers across their IT environment and operations, while spreading awareness on how to withstand security threats by using smart cyber resilience strategies.” DXC described Watson as a “highly experienced, innovative and outcome-focused cyber security leader with a proven track record of delivering results and transforming businesses for sustainable growth”. “Kylie is a great fit for not just her role but also the organisational culture that we have built here at DXC Technology, with her commitment and passion towards supporting and expanding diversity and inclusion initiatives which create environments where everyone can thrive,” DXC Technology Seelan Nayagam, president at DXC Technology for APAC and MEA.
