Enables Seisma to become a "full-service IT professional services provider". Credit: Flazingo_Photos IT professional services company Seisma has ramped up its security capabilities with the acquisition of Melbourne-based Q1 Group. Founded in 2005, Q1 Group offers consultation for cyber security, IT risk, compliance, infrastructure and data security teams. According to Seisma, the acquisition positions it as a “full-service IT professional services provider”. “This acquisition aligns with our commitment to delivering comprehensive IT solutions to our clients,” said Robert Hogeland, Seisma CEO. “By integrating Q1 Group’s cybersecurity technologies and talented team into our business, we are wellequipped to address the evolving cyber security challenges faced by our customers today. We are excited about the possibilities that this acquisition brings and the value it will add to our clients and Seisma Group as a whole.” Tracey Hughes, managing director of Q1 Group, said the merger provides an “exciting opportunity for our team and clients alike”. “Together, we can offer a comprehensive suite of IT services alongside our cyber security solutions that empower organisations to safeguard their digital assets, mitigate cyber threats effectively and innovate faster than ever before,” she said. Last year, Seisma also bought Sydney-based Microsoft specialist Data Addiction in a bid to enhance its capabilities in data and artificial intelligence, enabling it to offer “end-to-end solutions” to its customers. Seisma itself was acquired by PS&C in 2018 for $11 million and was then sold to LVP Technology Services for $22 million in 2020.
