Spirit Technology Solutions has merged its acquired businesses InfoTrust and Intalock into one entity to pursue growth opportunities within both public and private sectors, offering a complete suite of cyber security products, services and solutions.

Now branded as Infotrust, the managed security service provider will have an employee base of over 110 people with CEO, Simon McKay, leading the merged entity.

“We have united two outstanding Australian cyber organisations into one formidable team with a turnover of $75 million and over 110 cyber experts,” he said. “Our focus will remain on helping customers improve their cyber maturity through innovative solutions coupled with exceptional capability and high quality of service.

“With 650 customers across all industries, we’re well positioned to bring experience and expertise in their field to help them improve their cyber posture.”

Spirit previously acquired Intalock in December 2020 for $15 million to enter the government and corporate sectors. In February 2024, it acquired InfoTrust for an undisclosed amount, tapping into its SOC capabilities.

At the time of the InfoTrust deal, Spirit said it and Intalock would combine under its Spirit arm and result in a suite of cyber security solutions, offering threat management and compliance solutions, as well as offensive security and incident response services in addition to the SOC.

“This strategic acquisition aligns with our vision of becoming the go-to cyber security partner in Australia,” Spirit Group CEO and managing director Julian Challingsworth said in February.

“By combining our SOC capabilities with InfoTrust’s Assurance, GRC and product focus, we are positioned to deliver a completed and robust cyber security solution set that enables our clients to build robust defences against a cyber-attack and respond quickly to threats and attacks which are becoming more prevalent.”
